Moving into the market launch of this new specimen, the planned schedule is expected to begin next summer in the United States, followed right away by Latin America in the third quarter of 2023, and wrapping up with Europe, Asia Pacific, and other markets throughout 2024.

Among other news, David Zaslav (CEO), also spoke of "a strategic shift" in the company involving a change in measures covering the direct release of movies on streaming platforms. According to Zaslav, this move has a weaker long-term economic impact than releasing films in theaters.

Questions regarding the topic came to light after the company canceled the release of “Batgirl.”

“Our focus will be on theatrical,” Zaslav said. “And when we bring the theatrical films to HBO Max, we find they have substantially more value.”
